Blog PostGood Deeds and Price Tags

People nowadays believe Good deeds always comes with a price.

Ironically, I would have admit that everyone has a price tag for the good they do.

That price tag is basically your motive. Or what you want in return in other words.

We would frequently be ashamed of our good deeds if people saw all of the motives that produced them. -- Francois de La Rochefoucauld

Due to the nature of my personality and work I do, I get to meet a lot of people. I found a lot of people have lost their faith in humanity.

But I'm here to restore some faith in humanity, because that price is not always money, or trying to impress you, or trying to use you.

Some people do good because they wanna see good. They believe in God blessings with good deeds. They find happiness in doing good.

And as Ghandi says:

You must be the change you wish to see in the world.

Luckily, those people are contagious. I found happiness in doing good. Putting smiles on faces.

Sallust says:

Neither soldiers nor money can defend a king but only friends won by good deeds, merit, and honesty.

Words says it all, and I quote from the movie 300:

Xerxes: It isn’t wise to stand against me, Leonidas. Imagine what horrible fate awaits my enemies when I would gladly kill any of my own men for victory. King Leonidas: And I would die for any one of mine.

Because of Leonidas good deeds towards his men, there weren't his soldiers, but his friends. When they were dying:

Stelios: It's an honor to die at your side. King Leonidas: It's an honor to have lived at yours.

Be good, do good, and you shall live like a King/Queen.
